Dorothy, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, Assistant Director Fleming Speech
Dorothy has been a part of the Fleming Team since October 2005. She received her graduate degree from the University of Virginia and her undergraduate degree from the City University of New York. She has experience in the school and private settings, and has worked with all age groups from preschool to adults. Dorothy has worked with varying communication disorders including: Autism, Apraxia, Stuttering, Phonological Disorders and Receptive and Expressive developmental delays. Dorothy has received her certificate in the PROMPT treatment method.
Brenda, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Brenda graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University, FL., and a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders in 1998 from the University of Louisville. Prior to pursuing a career in speech-language pathology, she served in the Army for seven years as a photo and broadcast journalist. In addition to her current part time position at Fleming Therapy, Brenda is employed with the Spotsylvania County Public School System. She has 20 years of experience in speech-language therapy, serving preschoolers through senior adults with a variety of communicative needs. Chandra, MSOT, OTR/L, Lead Occupational Therapist
Chandra earned her B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University and her M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College. She recently relocated from Upstate New York to Stafford with her husband, mother, and 3 children. She has occupational therapy experience in various pediatric, geriatric and adult settings. She presented her research findings on sensory processing behaviors in children at the NYSOTA conference in 2012. Chandra is excited to be a team member at the Stafford Clinic and looks forward to working with children who have difficulties with sensory processing, fine motor and visual motor skills, postural control and core strength, and attention.
Pam, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Pamela earned a B.S. degree from Towson State University and completed her Master’s degree at George Washington University. She has worked in the field in schools and in private practices since 1989. She has provided therapy to clients from toddler to adulthood who needed services for varying speech and language disorders. Over 20 years of speech therapy service.
Courtney, MSOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 2013 and Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from Augusta University in 2017. Prior to joining the Fleming Therapy team, she completed her fieldwork placements in an outpatient pediatric clinic and in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, which have provided opportunities to work with various age groups and diagnoses. In addition, she also has experience with aquatic therapy and hippotherapy. Courtney has co-presented at the 2016 Georgia Occupational Therapy Association conference about fostering inclusive environments in healthcare. She is excited to be a part of the Fleming Therapy team and help children and their families find success in their daily lives.
Andrea, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Languange Pathologist
Andrea earned her B.S. degree from Northeastern University in 2005 and completed her Master’s degree at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY in 2007. She has worked in private practices, nursing homes, public and private schools, and in-home early intervention. Andrea has experience working with all age groups from birth to adults treating speech, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders. She has received training in PECS, TalkTools, and Lindamood-Bell.
Catherine, COTA/L, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Cathy earned her Associates Degree in 2011 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Darton College in Albany, Georgia. She has worked in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Cathy is certified in Physical Agency Modalities and Substance Abuse Counseling

Joan, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Joan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University in Speech Science in 1984 and her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University in 2010. In addition to her part time work at Fleming Speech Therapy, she is currently employed full time at an elementary school in the Stafford County Public School system. She has over 14 years of experience working in the public and private school systems in Puerto Rico teaching Science and English. She is a bilingual Spanish speaker. She has worked for the past 11 years as an SLP in Florida and Virginia where she was responsible for intervention, evaluation, identification and treatment management for preschool through fifth grade students with disorders in the areas of speech and/or language, articulation, voice, fluency, receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic language disorders.
Mary, MS, Physical Therapist
Mary earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Western Carolina University. She has over 10 years’ experience as a physical therapist with pediatric and geriatric patients. She enjoys working with working with children, especially the little ones. Mary has experience with the pediatric population in a variety of settings including schools, early intervention, outpatient and private clinics. She has worked with children with various diagnoses including torticollis, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, autism, hypotonia, and development delays. Mary has a son with autism who not only has taught her to be a better parent but to be a better therapist.
Nicole S., M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Nicole received her Bachelor degree in the area of Linguistics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her Master degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University. In addition to her part time work at Fleming Speech Therapy, she is currently employed full time at a middle school for the Prince William County Public School system. She works closely with children having learning disabilities and emotional disturbances, as well as, articulation weaknesses and stuttering. While she has experience working with children and adults with a variety of disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and mental retardation, she specializes in school-age language disorders, specifically literacy and reading fluency. She has received specialized training in the Wilson Reading System, Read Naturally, adolescent language and literacy, emergent literacy interventions, vocabulary building, early intervention strategies for children with apraxia, and PROMPT.
Whitney, Office Manager
Whitney was born in Frankfurt, Germany and is the daughter of two retired Army Veterans. Whitney moved from Maryland to Virginia in 2012. Whitney started at Fleming Therapy Services, Inc. in May 2013 as a Front Desk Assistant and was promoted to Office Manager in 2016. Whitney has over 4 years of medical experience and is in the process of obtaining her degree in Healthcare Administration.
Paola, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Paola earned her B.S. degree from the University of Virginia in 2013 and completed her Master’s degree at James Madison University in 2016. She is a bilingual Spanish speaker who has experience evaluating and providing therapy to both the pediatric and adult population in the following areas: articulation/phonological disorders, fluency, voice disorders, swallowing, language delays, oral motor, auditory processing, motor speech disorders, and pragmatic/social skills. Paola is ecstatic to work at Fleming Therapy Services, Inc. and will strive to meet the communicative needs of each and every patient!
Paige, Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist
Paige recently graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders and a minor in special education. She took a year off to gain experience in the field but plans to go back to school for her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. She really enjoys working in the pediatric setting and looks forward to becoming a therapist one day.
Alaina, Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist
Alaina earned her B.A in Spanish and Latin American/Latino Studies from College of the Holy Cross in 2011. She has years of experience in retail management and human resources. In 2014, she had her son and relocated from New Hampshire to Virginia for her husband’s job and became a stay home mom. In 2016, they welcomed a little girl into the family. Since then she has returned to work to start a new career path and hopes to continue growing within the Fleming Therapy family! Her favorite part of working at Fleming is interacting with the parents and kids on a daily basis.
Alissa, DPT, Physical Therapist
Alissa graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA with her bachelors in Sports and Exercise Science in 2013 and continued at Gannon for graduate school, where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016. Alissa has experience in a variety of settings including acute care, skilled nursing and outpatient with adults and pediatrics. While working in these settings Alissa gained experience in aquatic therapy specifically with pediatric patients. She really enjoys working in the pediatric setting and looks forward to doing it for many years to come.
Michelle, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Michelle graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Bloomsburg University and a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Temple University. She has nearly 20 years of experience in speech and language therapy in public and private school settings with children from preschool through high school who demonstrated a variety of special needs. Her focus tends to be on functional communication skills, including those needed for academic success. She is excited to be invited into the Fleming Therapy team and looks forward to serving you.
Jennifer, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2005 and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2007 from the University of Georgia. She has experience working in the hospital, public school, and private practice settings. She has had the pleasure of treating both children and adults in the areas of articulation, phonology, apraxia, voice, fluency, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language, cognitive-linguistics, and feeding. Jennifer is excited to be a part of the awesome team at Fleming Therapy.
Brooke, MOT, OTR/L
Brooke received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania in 2016. She graduated with her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Saint Francis University in 2017. She has experience in a variety of different settings ranging from outpatient pediatrics, acute and inpatient rehab, mental health, and also skilled nursing. Brooke has an extensive background in both water safety and swim lessons… with almost 10 years of experience in aquatics! She has always loved working with children is excited to join the Fleming Therapy team!
Kaeley, Front Desk Assistant/Medical Receptionist
Before joining Fleming Services, Inc. Kaeley worked in retail for 6 years, prior to that she worked in child care, as it has always been a passion of hers to work with children. Kaeley says, she loves interacting with the children while working here at Fleming Services, Inc. it has been a very rewarding experiences as it always a wonderful thing when you are able to observe a child achieve their goals. Kaeley plans to go back to school to continue her education in a field where she will be able to one day help others achieve their goals.

Laura earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. As a part time employee for Fleming, she enjoys working the private medical sector in addition to her full time career working in an elementary school. She grew up in Missouri where she met her husband. She has 3 children who keep her active outside of work and enjoys an hour a day at the gym to herself.
Courtney P., MOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Courtney graduated from the University at Buffalo in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Occupational Science and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. While in graduate school, Courtney had the opportunity to be a teacher assistant for a Pediatric course for undergraduate students, which furthered her passion for the Pediatric population. She has recently moved to the state of Virginia where she has gained experience in both pediatric and geriatric populations in a variety of settings. She is eager to work with and advocate for families and children of all ages in order to reach their full potential!
