Amanda, MSOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Amanda earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University. Prior to joining the Fleming Therapy Team, she completed her fieldwork placements in a pediatric clinic and a public school setting. In addition, Amanda has experience with aquatic therapy, and worked as a therapeutic swim instructor during her time at Tufts. She has experience with a variety of diagnoses, and is very excited to remain in the pediatric field. Amanda loves working with children and is eager to be part of the Fleming Therapy team, which will allow her to collaborate with families and provide quality, holistic care.
Jenny, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, Assistant Director
Jenny earned her Bachelors of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology and Spanish from the University of Toledo in 2011 and her Masters of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Akron in May 2013. She has experience in schools, VA Medical Center, in-home sites and outpatient clinics working with a range of ages from early intervention to geriatrics. Jenny has assessed and provided treatment to a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to both English and Spanish speakers. Jenny is dedicated to serving the pediatric population and providing the best care to her patients and their families.
Renee, Office Manager
Renee has a medical education background and is currently working on her Bachelors in Business Management. Renee has a CNA license as well as dental assistant license. Renee has over ten years of working in the Medical field. She enjoys working with and helping people.
Katie, M.A. CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist
Katie received her Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University in May of 2011 and earned her Masters of Arts from Hampton University in August of 2013. She has developed knowledge and skills working among pediatric and school-age children with a wide range of disorders including intellectual, articulation, language, pragmatics, and fluency deficits. She has also gained experience as a full time employee at a skilled nursing facility working with the geriatric population providing speech, language, voice, and cognitive therapy as well as dysphagia management. Katie is excited to explore her passion for working with children and their families to make a positive difference.
Kylie, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Kylie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University in 2010 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from University of North Texas in 2012. She has worked with children in home-based, private/outpatient, and school settings. She has had the pleasure of treating individuals ages 0-21 in the areas of articulation, phonology, apraxia, fluency, expressive language, receptive language, pragmatic language, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding. Kylie enjoys working with the pediatric population and their families to improve skills in all areas of communication and is excited to join the Fleming therapy team.
Ms. Nicole, MSOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Nicole graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2013 from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014 also from Gannon University. She has experience in the Acute Care setting in the orthopedic, cardiac, general medicine, and neurological areas as well as experience in Early Intervention working with children ages Birth - 3 years old and their families in the home and school setting. Nicole also had the opportunity during college to travel to Quito, Ecuador to volunteer and provide OT services in an orphanage for children with a wide range of disabilities. She has a huge passion for working with and helping kids who have sensory processing, emotional, fine motor, visual motor, developmental and intellectual difficulties to be able to reach their full potential and be as independent as possible in their daily life activities. Nicole is extremely excited to begin her OT career at Fleming Therapy services working with her favorite population.
Taimi, Administrative Assistant/Receptionist
Taimi graduated from Excelsior College with a B.S. in Liberal Arts, concentrating on Health Promotion and Psychology. While traveling around the world with the military for the last 24 years, she managed to work over 8 years in administrative positions and successfully completed a Medical Billing and Coding course in 2012. She also enjoyed her time working with children within the school system while stationed in Hawaii and is happy to be in a similar environment again. Taimi is excited about joining our Fleming Therapy team in March of 2016 and looks forward to meeting and working with the families.
Cara, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Cara attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned both her Bachelor of Health Science (2015) and Master’s Degree (2016) from its’ 5-year Speech-Language Pathology program. Cara has worked with a variety of age groups – from pediatrics to geriatrics. She has experience in many settings, including: outpatient facilities, specialty schools, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation. Cara is passionate about working with children and is dedicated to the field of SLP!
Kayleigh, MOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Kayleigh attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2015 and her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2016. Kayleigh completed her Level II Fieldwork at Fleming Therapy Services in the Alexandria office in the spring of 2016. She has experience with a variety of age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and has experience in a variety of settings including inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and schools. Kayleigh loves helping children find success through daily activities. In her free time, Kayleigh enjoys running, baking, and DIY craft projects.
Erica, DPT, Physical Therapy
Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology exercise science from James Madison University in 2014. She minored in exceptional education where she received the opportunity to work with children with special needs throughout her undergraduate experience. Erica achieved her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Old Dominion University in 2017. Erica has always had a passion for working with children and through her clinical rotations, Erica gained experience working with children of all ages with musculoskeletal, neurological, and other varying diagnoses in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Erica is excited to join the team at Fleming Therapy and be a part of helping to promote optimal function in children through interactive therapeutic activities.
Ali, DPT, Physical Therapist
Ali earned her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor in 2013 and went on to achieve her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan- Flint in 2017. She has experience working with pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses ages 2 months-24 years old in outpatient physical therapy and in the Metro-Detroit school systems. Ali is passionate about empowering her patients along with their families towards improved function using fun and play-based therapy.
Ms. Noelle, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Noelle received both her Bachelor of Science (2011) and Master of Science (2013) degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University. While working toward her Masters degree, Noelle was awarded a two-year training grant, the Penn State Children’s Communicative Competence Project, a federally funded training grant designed to prepare Masters level SLPs in the specialized competencies required to provide high quality Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services to children with complex communication needs and their families. In addition to working with individuals with complex communication needs and children with autism spectrum disorders, Noelle has experience working with both children and adults with disabilities in the following areas: receptive and expressive language, articulation, pragmatic language/social skills, stuttering, executive functioning, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, swallowing and feeding, and individuals with cognitive deficits as a result of a traumatic brain injury or stroke. Noelle has worked in public schools, in-patient rehab, private practice, and in-home settings. Noelle enjoys collaborating with colleagues and families to maximize the success of her clients.
